about the Band...
On a brisk fall
day back in 2001,
a couple of guys set out with little more than talent
and a dream, to put together the best damned rock cover band in
the universe, or at least be something their mamas could brag about….I
mean, we can’t all be doctors…“Groove
Junkie” soon gained recognition for its diverse sound and energetic
performances. As is commonly the case, fate took different turns for
various members
over the years, and the group experienced a number of changes.

The
Groove Junkies- Groovier then your Uncle
Sal's toupee after the cat tries to eat the old chewing gum off
the top and your mom throws a glass of Jimme Bean on it because
the tiki torch lit it and everyone's running around with their
hands in the air waving like chicken little and the fucking worlds
caving in then Johnny the nosy next door neighbor trips and lands
in your grandma's ample cleavage and cries out "My God, that's
a lot of skin!", yeah,
we're that groovy |

Despite a few bumps
in the road, one thing remained constant throughout the years,
and will as long as we all shall
live – The Groove Junkies rock! That’s a promise
they make to their fans (junkies), who have continued to share
their excitement and support and show up gig after gig to get their
Groove on and party! After all, without “Junkies”, we’d
just be “The Groove”… and
awfully lonely… |

When Chris
Breton(drummer, Animal
Junkie) walked into his audition with his “save the
forest” t-shirt and case of Bud, we knew he was the
man for the job. Come to find out, Keith would often joke
around with Chris's mom at work, never knowing her son would be
the future drummer of the band. When it was time for a new
singer, the boys searched high
and low. When months of auditions proved fruitless, the boys
got together and had Bryan grow a new singer from the leftover
mulch in his garden. Through an accelerated quantum
process, Ryan(Bearded
Junkie) was born. He fit right into the madness
that is this band. So, that’s the slightly altered history
of the group… |

The boys step away from their day
jobs a few times a week to do what they love. The Groove
Junkies continue to make every show memorable and as energetic
as humanly possible. To the great fans, the band says "thank
you". The "Junkies"
are always there dancing the night away, and if you're still
here reading this, then consider yourself a "Junkie"
too! See you on the dance
floor!
