Chris’s musical ability came out as early as fourth grade when he started playing the trumpet in the school band. He switched quickly to the sax, but that didn’t last long either. In the 6th grade he started taking piano lessons and hated it so much he would make the phone ring and pretend to talk to the teacher in front of his mom, saying the teacher cancelled the lesson. Chris started playing the drums at 12 years old. It was a toss up between that and the guitar (which he picked up later) and he decided on the drums because his father had also played them. He played in a couple of stupid garage bands, mostly heavy stuff and hardcore. In high school he joined the Drumline and was the only 1st year student to march snare. Eventually he joined a blues/funk band called Phat Cat. Two of the members got married so Chris answered an ad for a party band looking for a drummer. It was there he met Keith, who wanted him in the band immediately. Not just because he was extremely cute, but also a great drummer. The rest is history. Chris plays a Pearl Export Series kit with Evans G2 heads and all Zildjain A-Custom cymbals and uses Vic-Firth SD4 Combo Drumsticks."Yeah, I rule!" Chris fondly tells us.
